For "The Prophet of God"

I have very supportive, loving parents and I’m lucky enough to have come from a good home and to have had a secure upbringing.

My parents are ‘New Testament’ Christians and I have every respect for their beliefs and their faith. My parents are the type of Christians that don’t judge, preach or condemn – the type of Christian’s people listen to; and although I don’t agree with their faith they will never disown, dislike or cease loving me.

I was brought up a Christian and became a baptized member of the Church when I was 12 years old. Up until the age of 16 I attended church, bible studies, fellowships, seminars, conferences and celebrations.

If I’m honest I’ve come to realize that I always had my doubts about Christianity. I always had too many questions, too many doubts and always saw too many holes and contradictions in the bible’s teachings. I began to question the hypocrisy of those around me and I began to get extremely tired of the judgmental, egotistical attitudes of my fellow believers.

Now I follow my own spiritual pathway and my parents respect that, although they don’t agree with it.

I've recently come across a anonymous member of this site who calls himself 'Prophet of God'. He has posted on occasion on my Dad's blogspot and in response to his recent 'rantings' I felt the need to post my own thoughts.

Pog -Rachel, you need to repent of your witchcraft. How can you a practicing witch pass a comment of worth and value and how dare you a practicing witch, use Gods word out of context. (Even if you don't think the things your doing is witchcraft (which it really is, I know as I came out of your background) the bible says that the spirit of rebelling against God is as the spirit of witchcraft)

How dare you, a self-proclaimed spiritual prophet, judge me? How dare you question my right to quote biblical texts, simply because I do not agree with everything the bible teaches? I’m curious to know what miraculous event has taken place to convince you that you have the right to assume the role of judge, jury and executioner. What has given you the right to place yourself upon a spiritual pedestal and question others, their faith, convictions and their actions?

"All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. Repent is what a true christian or follower of Jesus must do. It is not an option."

Ahhhh Romans 3:23 eh? Yes this passage does say that all have sinned but it also states:

“being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus”

meaning that God gifted the world, and all it’s sinners, with his son so that through his death we would find redemption. If we take your statement out of context then yes we are all sinners – including you. Although your pride and vanity is beyond anything I’ve encountered to date.

"As for you, you need to get out of that witch craft your practicing and turn away from it, or when you die your going to go to hell.And thats a fact, ask your dad."

Aha – this old chestnut again. Don’t question; don’t analyse; don’t seek the truth… just accept what we tell you… or you’re going to hell. That used to scare me as a child POG but it doesn’t wash now I’m afraid.

"And Rachel don't lecture me on scripture, you as a pagan, practicing witchcraft and steeped in dark practices have not got a clue about christianity, or what a true christian should look like or behave like. Up to now you are lost and I for one are not going to tell you, God just loves you. He doesn't, you are covered in sin. You need to repent and turn to God and away from your ways."

If your skills as a prophet were functioning a little clearer POG you would know; or God would have told you; that there is a bigger picture than what you are assuming. Someone so concerned with another’s soul and their inevitable decline into damnation would perhaps have taken the time to get to know a person before judging them.

You know nothing about me, my background or my beliefs. I have a perfectly good idea of what a good Christian should look and behave like – and you certainly aren’t it!

I find people like you absolutely terrifying; and believe with all my heart that it is religious fanatics like you that cause so many of the world’s problems.

Besides – from what you’re telling me there would be no point in repenting. God doesn’t love me – I am covered in sin… so why bother?

"If God is God, then lets give Him all of us, not just certain areas. God is sick and tired of buffet christians. The ones who go to the table and pick up the bits they like."

IF God is God? For someone so keen to judge other people for their ‘lack of faith’ I find this statement extremely surprising. Also I’m interested to know how you can proclaim to know exactly what God is thinking…and what would make you so infinitely important that an omnipotent, almighty God would take the time to confide his general thoughts with you.

"Christianity is not a buffet, you've got to eat the greens too."

A witty analogy POG, hardy har har.

"And before you say that I am ranting, I tell you the truth, not all who say Lord, Lord shall be saved."

So – again you’re basically saying that even if I did forsake my wanton ways and return to the bossom of Christ there may not be much point… because not all who repent will be saved?Oh and POG…you are ranting. Sorry.

"All the people who blog to you just slap you on the back and say oh Dave your just fine, God loves you, just like you are sin and everything."

But it says in the bible that God does love us… sin and all… doesn’t it? Or have I been reading the wrong version again?

"...as they say when you fall over the cliff don't come running to me."

Wow – that would be a neat trick… falling off a cliff AND running.

"The fact is Dave once over the edge of the cliff you will be free falling forever in a place called hell."

So – you’re telling my Dad, a devoted Christian that hell is looming on his horizon? Even though he has given his life to Christ? Even though Christ himself apparently said

“Who so ever believes in me shall have eternal life”

Hmmmmm again… I have to ask, why repent in the first place? If none of it matters and we’re all doomed to hell and damnation anyway.

"I am even loving you rachel, after Jesus said to the men let the one without sin cast the first stone, he said to the women GO AND SIN NO MORE, that means Jesus told her to repent and not to sin again. Just like I am telling you Rachel."

A complete contradiction to everything you have said earlier. You have just criticized me, insulted me and my family, judged me and condemned me to hell. Now you’re telling me you love me.

Again, I find your hypocrisy and pride astounding. You continually set yourself upon a spiritual pedestal and even go so far in your last statement to liken yourself to Christ himself.

'Prophet of God' - You so easily find 'sin' in others. You condemn others for being 'in this world' but you use the internet... computers... telephones... again complete hypocrisy. Even Christ, a man of this world, admitted to sin... he was tempted... he drank wine... he doubted and questioned God.

"Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye'; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."

If you can not hold an adult conversation without resulting to immaturity then I'm glad you won't be responding on my blog.

For one so determined in his own self righteousness you give up so very easily - I'm disapointed POG.

I know myself and my own mind - I will not allow someone who continues to hide behind a anonymous persona to dictate how I think, feel or what I believe.

Sorry if that upsets you.Again, your ego tells you that YOU are the reason I don't follow Christianity anymore. How very self obsessed POG. I've never met you - you are not my excuse POG... I don't need an excuse.

Rachel,you are a unique person and have your own mind and ways of doing things.I have thoughly enjoyed reading all about you here.You are so full of love and giving to others it`s plain to see.Please stay the way you are,please never be put off by any negative posts.I think some people are only too quick to dictate how we all should live our lives and,think that we should all be like little lambs and just follow them.I also think some need to take a good look at themselves first before judging others.Keep up the good work.Luv ya. To the person who thinks that they're god.......What makes your religion the be all and end all.All this christianity stuff...repent sinner.....I dont buy it.Paganism was around long before christianity.Why did you feel the need to crush it....were you scared...didnt you understand it...the worship of the earth...the place that god was supposed to have created.And the bible....dont get me started on that....YOu say that Rachel is blinded from the truth??so what about the bible...all that is written in it is true??Hmmm I dont think so....So please dont come on here spouting all that holier than thou stuff....preach to your christian friends who will believe all that stuff without question

Oh dear!!! People like you, who think like you do, surely go against the whole basis of Christianity?! And it's people like you who are at the root of the problems in today's world (but then that's not a new thing - you religious nutters have been at it for years, haven't you?!?!)

You seem to think you know so much - so sure about 'life' and how it should be lived, and what happens after this 'life'....well....I've got news for you:- you don't know!! You choose to have a belief in certain aspects of a religion, but that's all it is - a belief system! If you're so sure...then so am I.

I'm a Medium - a Clairvoyant and Clairaudient. I also have Pagan beliefs! So yes...I too, can be classed as a Witch!!

I do know what happens when you pass on from this life - I have seen and heard the proof for myself, and all I can say is...boy are you in for a shock!!!

I echo completely what has been said above by Rachel, Mary and John. Paganism was 'the norm' before the majority started being taken in by religious fanatics not too dissimilar to yourself!

You know, there is a Pagan 'quote' that I think about sums it up - "MY GODDESS GAVE BIRTH TO YOUR GOD!" ie. Pagans were around long, LONG, before Christianity, just in case you couldn't figure that one out for yourself.

How dare you come on here and criticize someone you don't know, and about something you so blatantly know absolutely nothing about! Rachel is one of my best friends, and you could not meet a more sincere, loving and caring person.I believe that everyone is entitled to their own beliefs.

If those beliefs, no matter what they are or where they come from, help you through life, and encourage you to be a better person, not just for yourself, but for your family, friends and the world around you, then great!

It's just so very sad that someone like yourself, 'Prophet of God', does, so very obviously, not understand the whole 'tolerance' thing that your precious bible bangs on about.

You do realise of course, if you are so knowledgable, that the bible's references to Witchcraft throughout, is actualy down to the translation of the bible commissioned in 1601 by King James VI?!?!

For example, "Thou shalt not suffer a Witch to Live". I hate to shatter your illusions, but this quote originally said "Thou shalt not suffer a poisoner to live"!

In 1601, in Burntisland, Fife, King James VI, who had a major bee in his bonnet about Pagans and who was one of the most influential 'Witch Prickers' of the time, commissioned a new translation of the bible, which because of who he was, and what his obsessions were, meant that the demonisation of Paganism/Witchcraft became a feature of the modern bible as we know it.

Now...POG (weren't POGs kids toys in the early 90s??), I hope I never come across you, or anyone like you, ever again. However, if you do choose to return to Rachel's page here, because you couldn't resist finding out how she replied to you, then at least do us the courtesy of ensuring your spelling and grammar are up to scratch, huh?!?!

Rachel,I support you and your decision for YOUR life, and guess what?? I am a Christian. Being a christian isn't what people who claim to be Godlike like POG is about.. It is about your heart and your own beliefs and believing there is something out there more powerful than yourself. You don't judge people, you harmonize your life with your own heart. It disappoints me to no end to see "Wannabe Christians" acting like that, judging others for who they are.. I say, if you are happy and you are not hurting yourself or anyone else, than you are as close as any to your own eternal happiness, however it may be for YOU!!!Keep doing as you do and know that not all Christians are rude and misguided!!!

You are all wrong.The bible tells us to worship God, not what God has created.No where does the bible tell us to tolerate sin. It tells us to identify it and turn from it.As to the guy who says "I'm a christian" you are a liar.You are not a follower of Jesus.And by the way, a true christian will be hated (so says Jesus) by all, on account of the name of Jesus. Actually - thinking about it POG... if the second coming of Christ is about to occur and all the Christians on earth are suddenly spirited away during 'The Rapture'- well, I'll know you were right all along. I'll have 7 years before Christ returns to the earth to set up his kingdom. I'll know that the anti-christ will rule on earth for the final 3 and 1/2 of those seven years and I'll make sure that I'm on the side of the good guys.That's a promise!

Nowhere in the bible does it say there will be a seven year period of antichrist reign nor a three and a half year reign.Nowhere in the bible does it say the church is going to be taken off the earth prior to the tribulation. This is a lie, and anyone who promotes this is a liar too.The church will have to go through the great tribulation and the persecution unto death.So you really don't have any time other than "now" is the time for salvation.ps.Sorry about your noisey neighbour Rach!it's horrible when you've no peace at home. I've had similar experience it's not pleasant.

Thanks POG. Noisy neighbours are a nightmare - something that no one should have to put up with!

And I agree with you - according to biblical texts there is nothing to suggest that the 'rapture' is an actual part of biblical prophecy... in fact I believe the concept of Christians leaving this earth during the tribulation period was first introduced during the 1830s when a 15 year old Irish girl called Margaret McDonald claimed to have experienced a vision from God.

The word rapture is actually a mistranslation of 1 Thessalonians 4:17 where is talks of being 'caught up'...According to the bible the antichrist will take up reign halfway through the time of tribulation and that his influence on earth with last 1260 days... which is approx 3.5years...

It's an interesting subject - one I find fascinating, because even though the Christian church all claim to follow the same faith, they can disagree on something so apparently important as the second coming of Christ.

Judging by your posts here (which, by the way, you keep threatening never to return, but you always do...??!!), indicating the type of person you have turned out to be, I'm not in the least bit surprised your parents have never 'contacted' you - if I was them, I wouldn't either!!

Yes, it's a sad fact, that this world does appear to be "dying" - doesn't everything?!?!?! The circle of life, and all that?! However, what is killing it?? Man has a huge part to play in that! And it is being helped along the path of destruction, very briskly, by wars created in the name of religion, by extremists exactly like you!

How DARE you tell me that I am not "in spirit nor truth".

I know more after 'spirit' and 'truth' than you could ever hope to know!And by the way, I didn't say the King James version of the Bible was written in 1601 - I am perfectly aware that the first edition was published in 1611, however, if you re-read my previous post, you will see that it was COMMISSIONED in 1601, at The General Assembly of The Church Of Scotland, in Burntisland, by King James!!!!!

Can I suggest now, that you perhaps just, go away?! You obviously have nothing better to do with your pathetic little life, than pursue religious arguments with people you don't know, and know nothing about!

No wonder there are so many bloomin' wars in this world, with people like you at the seat of the problem.
